
The Story of Juneteenth Told With Cultural and Historical Integrity
Audiences will journey from the West Coast of Africa, through the ending of enslavement in the USA, and on to the victory and celebration of Juneteenth becoming a national holiday. Through dance, drumming, and song, viewers will further understand the sacrifices that were made to end slavery in this country, as they experience the depth and breadth of the contributions of arts and culture made to the world via the African American experience, with a cast that ranges in age from 8 to 80+.
